Better Call Saul is the prequel to the award-winning series Breaking Bad, set six years before Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk) became Walter White’s lawyer. When we meet him, the man who will become Saul Goodman is known as Jimmy McGill, a small-time lawyer searching for his destiny, and, more immediately, hustling to make ends meet. Working alongside, and often against, Jimmy is “fixer” Mike Erhmantraut (Jonathan Banks), a beloved character introduced in Breaking Bad. The series will track Jimmy’s transformation into Saul Goodman, the man who puts “criminal” in “criminal lawyer.”

Mike Wakes Up In Mexico | Namaste | Better Call Saul

  1. Gus actually ruined this man’s purpose in life. At least if he was killed by street thugs his family could’ve benefitted from a life insurance policy but instead they got zero dollars from his hard work as a cartel bodyguard.

  2. Did Howard really mean what he said to Jimmy? "Come work with HHM?"

Ty hats in the same episode as this clip.

  3. Most people don't know this, but the yellow color when he wakes up is deliberately chosen by Vince Gilligan to point out that this scene takes place in Mexico.

  4. I never really even thought of it as a yellow tint. Since it's Mexico, I just presumed it was a very faint brown tinge & figured it was from pollution.

  5. I am beginning to wonder, What if gus orchestrated the whole move just to gain the loyalty of Mike ?
